This collaboration promises to create a vibrant, innovative, and engaging environment for tertiary education in both cities.Introduction of the role:Charles Sturt University Sydney and Melbourne delivers a Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) and Master of Professional Information Technology (MPIT) (specialising in Cybersecurity and Software Development) from our Melbourne Campus at Bourke Street, Melbourne.We are seeking sessional IT Lecturers who are passionate about their field and committed to teaching the next generation of professionals.Session 1 2025 commences 3 March 2025, but the timetable is not yet finalised, so interested candidates will need to be available in person, on campus at 222 Bourke Street, Melbourne for face-to-face teaching primarily during business hours once timings are finalised.Sessional work involves:Teaching either Bachelor (AQF 7) or Master (AQF 9) level subjects, with guidance from permanent academic staffDelivering classes onsite, in-person, including lectures, tutorials and intensive workshopsEngaging with students through the learning management system (LMS) and face-to-face during consultation sessions as requiredMarking assignments and performing administrative tasks associated with the classes.Participating in formal professional development activities designed to enhance teaching practice.
