In this role, you'll:
Work as a part of the team that manages and maintains the crucial Operational Technology network which enables operation of traffic light, motorway smart devices and CCTV cameras in NSW and enhances the safety and efficiency of the customer journeys. It’s a rare exciting learning and growth opportunity within our Field Technology Network Team in Customer Strategy & Technology branch. This role is responsible for receiving assigned network incidents and service requests from the service desk and ensure that they are resolved as quickly as possible in accordance with work instructions, service levels and priorities, to monitor and implement planned network changes and to undertake routine maintenance tasks through effective diagnosis, resolve problems to optimise the reliability and availability of the Operational Technology (OT) Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network platforms utilised by the Transport Management Centre (TMC) whilst adhering to meet TfNSW’s service requirements.
Responsibilities include :
* Ensuring the network environment operates effectively through:
* Prompt incident response
* Rapid return to service from incidents; and
* Low-impact technical change management.
* Implementing and monitoring performance of the OT MPLS network
* Assist in managing the refresh, upgrade and expansion of the network including the testing of hardware, firmware & networking software releases prior to deployment
* Maintain as built record and documentation.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Support and execute strategies to maximise user satisfaction, promoting a culture of quality customer service
* Provision, document and troubleshoot the TfNSW dark fibre network including connections between TfNSW and other organisations and agencies

About you
A networking professional who has strong interpersonal skills along with a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other support teams. You are hungry for growth and are willing to learn and is keen on furthering their career in networking
Have a proactive approach and ideally should have experience in Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN), Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), VLANs, F5 Load Balancers, Palo Alto firewalls, Voice over IP (VoIP), fibre optic cabling, Cisco Router, Switches, Firewall hardware, network monitoring and trouble shooting.
Experience in Software Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) multicast networks, AWS & Azure private clouds with direct connects will be highly regarded.
