Surf Life Saving Northern Territory (SLSNT) are looking for someone passionate about training in the aquatic and emergency care industry.This is a full-time position in an iconic public safety organisation that won the 2024 Northern Territory Training Awards Small Employer of the Year and runner up at the National Training Awards.This opportunity will suit someone who is looking for a meaningful role in the community.About the roleThe Education Coordinator will be responsible for the following:Deliver training for commercial first aid courses, lifeguard training and members.Identification, development, and coordination of commercial business opportunities.Provide administrative and technical support to club trainers on matters related to Education.Coordinate RTO compliance.Research and investigate new technologies and equipment that could improve education services in the Northern Territory.Collaborate on the development, maintenance, and improvement of course content and training resources.Support the adoption, and use, of SLS Information Technology systems.Coordinate a small training team to deliver planned courses.Attend regular training and development courses, forums and meetings as required by SLSNT.Coordinate training officer rostering and course scheduling.Coordinate course data entry into aXcelerate & Surfguard as required.The successful candidate will:Have the right to work in Australia. (Evidence required)Ability to pass a Criminal history check, gain an NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Check) and hold a current open drivers’ license.Hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be working towards obtaining their qualification.Have experience in the delivery of first aid and lifesaving-related training courses.Demonstrated ability to work constructively with volunteers, commercial clients, and a wide range of organisations.Demonstrated ability to plan and lead a small team of trainers.Experience in managing compliance within an RTO.Proven ability to market and protect a well-known brand.Shows initiative in developing new ideas and approaches.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and administration databases.Willing and able to work flexible hours, including some after hours and weekends.Desirable Qualifications & ExperiencePast or present membership in a surf lifesaving club or organisation.Experience with data / admin entry systems used by RTOs such as aXcelerate or Surfguard.Knowledge and prior experience within first aid and aquatic industry.About UsSurf Life Saving NT is the peak organisation for surf lifesaving activities in the Northern Territory and is part of the broader Australian surf lifesaving network (Surf Life Saving Australia).
