The Hospital:
This is a 189 bed specialist teaching hospital servicing a population dispersed over 1.6 million square kilometres. This dispersion provides unique and rewarding challenges in the delivery of a range of comprehensive health services. Opened in 1977 the hospital was extensively redeveloped in 2002 with further rectification work in 2009 and is complemented by a setting of superbly designed gardens and outdoor areas.
The hospital provides the following services: Day Procedure, Emergency, Intensive Care and High Dependency, Maternity, Medical, Outpatients, Paediatric, Special Care Nursery, Surgical and Mental Health, plus arrange of clinical support services. It is also accredited with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards and has links to many external research organisations.
The Role:
Provide high quality Internal Medicine as well as sub-specialty care in Endocrinology Medicine to patients at Alice Springs Hospital, the region and fringe areas of Western Australia and South Australia. Selection will be made at either the REG or SREG level.
The Requirements:
To apply for this role you should either hold General Registration with AHPRA and experience in Endocrinology.
