Role Overview The Senior Policy Project Lead will work closely with the Executive Manager, Policy, to liaise with stakeholders and implement the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Partnership Forum Action Plan. This role will involve managing working groups, developing evidence-based submissions, and contributing to strategic policy initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Partnership Forum Action Plan. Manage working groups, including scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and documenting proceedings. Provide strategic, evidence-based advice to senior management and stakeholders. Produce high-quality meeting papers and briefs, ensuring timely and relevant information for decision-making. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Develop submissions and responses to government inquiries. Assist in producing policy documents, reports, and position papers. Keep members informed about government policies affecting service delivery. Support advocacy initiatives led by executive directors. Collaborate with policy staff across the organisation. Uphold the principles of Culture and Kinship in all work. Essential: Understanding and commitment to holistic Aboriginal health and culture. Experience managing administrative functions for working groups or secretariats. Strong stakeholder engagement. Experience in preparing complex documents and demonstrable experience in preparing briefs, letters, emails and reports on complex subject matter in a clear and concise manner. Proficiency in Microsoft applications with attention to detail. National Police Check. Working with Children's Check. Desirable Experience: Experience within the Victorian Government public sector. Knowledge of health policy in Victoria. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply. Two years or more experience in a similar role.
