Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Senior Electrical Engineer with a leading International multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Central London. They are one of the UKs Top Employers for 5 years in a row according to Top Employer Institute. Their multi-disciplined team includes MEP (30 strong), Environmental Design & Sustainability, VT, and Architectural Design Lighting. They are involved in high profile and prestigious projects all over the world across a variety of sectors so the role may involve some travel. Responsibilities: Represent the company in professional and diligent manner always. Provide discipline leadership. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities, and associated organisations. Attend all meetings with client, project team, contractors, etc. Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, and other documents required. Review and manage projects from inception to post construction duties. Maintain good knowledge of relevant legislations, standards, regulations, guides, and good practice. Comply with procedures and standards. Contribute and assist as required by the Project Leader, Senior Partner, or nominated Engineer. Support equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) as a core priority. Skills: Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities. Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based. Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status. Solid technical understanding of own core engineering discipline and the role of the electrical engineer within the design team. Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment. Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standard design reference material. Ability to use Autodesk Revit, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, and Microsoft 'Office' suite. Ability to use initiative in response to demands of the project. Able to negotiate and communicate well in graphical, written, or verbal forms, including the ability to listen and understand others. Ability to understand and formulate design decisions. Excellent organisational skills. Developed problem-solving and analytical skills. Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information. Self-motivated and able to take responsibility. Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks. Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team. Flexible attitude.
