Senior Analyst - Corporate Development, M&A
As a Senior Analyst within the Corporate Development team, you will support the identification and analysis of strategic opportunities, assisting in the preparation and execution of public market and private treaty transactions. Your role will contribute to shaping the company's growth initiatives, working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders.

Description
Contribute in various aspects of transaction analysis, preparation, and execution, including:
1. Gathering and analysing relevant data to support decision-making.
2. Undertaking financial modelling and valuation activities.
3. Coordinating due diligence investigations across internal and external parties.
4. Managing data rooms and facilitating Q&A processes for divestment activities.
5. Preparation of information memorandum and other marketing materials for potential transactions.
6. Supporting the preparation of reports and presentations for Senior Leadership and Board-level audiences.
7. Collaborating with other Group Functions to execute transaction-related tasks efficiently.
8. Engaging with external transaction advisors to ensure smooth and effective execution.
Profile
A successful Senior Analyst will bring:
1. Bachelor's degree in a commercial or quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, or Business.
2. Strong ability to interpret and analyse financial statements, including P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheets.
3. Good understanding of corporate finance, economics, and valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flows (DCF).
4. Highly proficient in financial modelling, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
5. Knowledge of data sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, DataStream, and analyst/company reports, with the ability to effectively filter and coordinate relevant information.
6. Experience presenting detailed financial analyses to senior stakeholders confidently.
7. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within investment banking, management consulting, or Big 4 corporate finance, valuations, or transaction services.
8. Exposure to the metals & mining sector will be advantageous and looked upon favourably.
Job Offer
1. A competitive salary package ranging from AUD 140,000 to AUD 175,000 + Superannuation (experience based)
