Location: City Campus/ Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Position Flinders University’s Marketing and Student Recruitment team is evolving in 2025, with an exciting new opening for an Events and Activation Coordinator to join their team. Known internally as the Events and Production Coordinator, this position involves coordinating University events and activations, with a with a specific focus on service delivery for Flinders City Campus The Events and Activation Coordinator will deliver highly effective coordination of both physical and digital events, from initial enquiry right through to planning, pre-production and delivery of the event. The Events and Activation Coordinator will also: Provide informed support in the development of event proposals, event plans and supporting documentation, such as run sheets, guest lists, invitation and speech notes/scripts. Work closely with technical and event support teams, including IDS and AV teams internally, or similar external providers to deliver event solutions. Update and manage internal event systems, databases, and websites. This includes tracking events and key tasks in the marketing project management tool to effectively monitor progress and assign resources. Please note, this position may occasionally require weekend and evening hours, as well as travel to other campuses to assist with events, as needed. About You As the Events and Activation Coordinator, you will bring broad experience in planning and executing the technical aspects of both physical and digital events, with an excellent understanding of audio and visual requirements. You will be highly capable, showcasing excellent organisational and time management skills, and able to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. To be successful in this role, you will also bring: Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders through a variety of channels. Effective computer skills especially a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office package and a basic understanding of database principles. Experience in sourcing venues, suppliers and event equipment within budget and which will support the delivery of exceptional outcomes.
