We are current seeking experienced Metal Fabricators and Welders to join our team in a full time role. Applicants must hold a relevant trade qualification and have at least 3 years' post apprenticeship experience. Further requirements for applicants: Hold a valid forklift license Possess a WA driving license Be familiar with regulations regarding safe work practices Contribute to a friendly team environment with a strong focus on safety Be prepared to work reasonable overtime to meet customer schedules Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Work independently with minimal supervision Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening Be available for site work when required Maintain close attention to detail with an enthusiastic work ethic Responsibilities include: Interpret detailed fabrication drawings and specifications; Fabricate and weld structural, aluminium and sheet metal products in accordance with weld procedures; Perform weld tests to qualify weld procedures; Develop and plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of fabrication and welding including allowances for welding shrinkage and distortion; Knowledge of the physical properties of all grades of steel; Mark out work pieces for bending cutting and fabrication; Set up and operate fabrication tooling and welding machines; Design and construct jigs, templates, and fixtures; Perform thermal heating and cutting operations; Ensure production schedules and quality targets are met; Adhere to Hamilton Engineering's policies and procedures, and Keep working areas clean and tidy.
