Infrastructure Planning Advisor | 12-Month Contract | Full Time $420 - $483 p/d super 12-Month Contract Parramatta or Newcastle (onsite) About the Role The Infrastructure Advisor is responsible for overseeing the execution of assigned infrastructure advisory projects, which vary in risk and complexity, to align with client organisational objectives. This role involves leading Project Managers and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that advisory projects are delivered effectively, adhering to best practice asset management principles. Key accountabilities: Assist Project Managers and stakeholders in delivering advisory projects, ensuring adherence to best practice principles. Primarily office-based, with regular attendance at meetings and site inspections. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Coordinate input from team members and stakeholders to manage the planning and execution of low to medium-risk advisory project milestones and outcomes. Oversee all phases of advisory project delivery, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, and engaging stakeholders across related services. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation, and issue resolution to ensure project deliverables are met. Contribute to the preparation of proposals and participate in bid teams for significant projects to support business growth. Deliver tasks and projects that demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of best practice asset and project management principles to achieve client satisfaction. Key Challenges of the role: Collaborative Infrastructure Planning: Engage closely with agencies and regional local governments, including their senior executives to identify opportunities for infrastructure planning and flood risk management within their portfolios. Cross-Sector Collaboration: Work collaboratively across various sectors to integrate skills and resources, addressing industry needs in a consistent and standardized manner to ensure effective infrastructure planning and flood risk services. Project Leadership: Lead and participate in projects involving multiple service lines, coordinating efforts across NSW Public Works to achieve project objectives. Stakeholder Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, industry partners, and contractors to achieve commercially viable outcomes for NSW Public Works and stakeholders. Support NSW Public Works in adopting a proactive advisory role in infrastructure planning. Service Line Development: Contribute to the development of the infrastructure planning service line, aligning with NSW Public Works' strategic plan, with a focus on excellence in service delivery to both new and repeat clients. Essential Skills and Experience Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Land-use Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience. Proven experience leading project management, procurement, and contract management in infrastructure planning projects. Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills, with experience supporting internal and external clients. Proven ability to influence positive outcomes and deliver exceptional client service. Current NSW Driver's License and willingness to travel to remote locations, including overnight stays.
