Headquartered in Brisbane, and with operations now spanning Australia, the UK, and the US, we’re looking to bring on the right people to help us get to the next level. –––––––––––––––––––– About the role We’re on the lookout for an Events Manager who lives and breathes experiences—someone who understands that events aren’t just about logistics, they’re a key driver of growth, connection, and brand magic. At Askable, our events are anything but traditional. You’ll craft unexpected, unforgettable moments that engage Australia’s largest enterprises and most creative product and UX leaders. This role blends community building and marketing know-how: you’ll design experiences that fuel acquisition, deepen engagement, and spark retention. Working closely with sales, you’ll ensure every event contributes meaningfully to pipeline while also nurturing a vibrant, active community around Askable. –––––––––––––––––––– What you’ll do Design and execute an events strategy that supports both acquisition and expansion in the enterprise space—delivering memorable, non-traditional experiences that reflect the Askable brand. Partner with the sales team to align on pipeline goals and build events that accelerate deal flow and connect with key decision-makers. Identify and nurture Askable ambassadors within the UX and product community, enabling them to run branded community events and become advocates for our platform. Keep the Askable community engaged between events through creative touchpoints and ongoing relationship building. Lead end-to-end execution of both in-person and virtual events—from intimate dinners and roundtables to larger-scale activations—with an eye for detail and experience design. Develop strategic partnerships with like-minded brands and collaborators to expand reach and co-create standout experiences. Set up scalable systems and repeatable processes for event planning, execution, and follow-up, without sacrificing quality or creativity. Measure event success through clear metrics like engagement, pipeline impact, and brand reach—iterating and improving with every activation. Work closely with the marketing and design teams to ensure all events are aligned with brand, campaign, and community goals. –––––––––––––––––––– Skills and experience you’ll bring To hit the ground running in this role you’ll need at least 3 years working in events with: A marketing-first mindset with a deep understanding of the role events play across the funnel—from acquisition to retention. Proven experience designing events that go beyond the typical conference or webinar—creative, brand-led activations that people actually talk about. Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, design, and community stakeholders. Ability to identify and nurture key community voices—turning attendees into advocates and ambassadors. Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a knack for building scalable systems that keep things running smoothly as we grow. Confident communicator with excellent project management and relationship-building skills.
