This position will be an opportunity to join and technically lead and support the growing of the team which is dedicated to servicing clients projects with a focus on the contractor side with an existing pipeline of high profile projects in the Highways and Mass Transit space already in place. The position will be based out of Melbourne.
As the successful candidate you will be:
Proactively participating on multiple transport projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and guiding personnel to maintain a high level of quality
Providing technical support to the different projects in the field of highways design, civil design or drainage for the safe delivery of engineering projects
Setting up jobs to guide the completion of work to a high technical standard, within agreed budgets and timeframes, and in compliance with Hatch’s Systems
Mentoring and development of staff with a focus on culture and technical progress;
Supporting the development of new business including maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships

You bring to the role:
Essential
Current work rights in Australia
A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Extensive professional experience in civil engineering with a focused experience in highways design and ideally in civil aspects related to rail projects
Be a motivated, results-driven engineering professional that works well within a team
Have strong oral and written communication skills including the preparation of technical documents
Track record of participating in complex multidisciplinary projects; and
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards in current engineering and construction principles, methods and practices; in particular for Vicroads, VicTrack, TfNSW & RMS and with Australian Standards;
Desirable
Chartered status or professional registration is desirable but not mandatory
Experience and interest in business development initiatives, including the development and maintenance of client relation
Capability in the use of drafting/design software such as Civil3D, 12D or OpenRoads
