With a focus on growth and strong customer relationships, you will provide expert guidance on a variety of engineering matters, including the assessment of development applications, works, and subdivision certificates.You will contribute to building vibrant, sustainable communities that are accessible, functional, safe, and well-connected, ensuring our residents have seamless access to essential local services, facilities, and infrastructure.Your key focus areas are;Assess and determine a broad range of applications, involving site inspections, writing reports, providing written/verbal advice to/and negotiating with developers, Councillors and the public, liaison with Council departments and/or statutory authoritiesAssess and determine works certificates for subdivisions and other civil works, in accordance with Council's Development Control Plans, engineering guidelines, relevant legislation and industry standards and direct external consultants, in preparation of their designsProvide technical advice about subdivision and engineering related matters to applicants, consultants and other customers prior to lodgement and during assessment of applications and certificatesAssess the suitability of technical studies associated with urban development, in particular hydrology, hydraulic, stormwater quality, geometric design, traffic and geotechnical studiesProcess and determine subdivision certificates relating to development applications and ensure compliance with the conditions of consentLET’S HEAR ABOUT YOUOur ideal candidate has experience in assessing or preparing development applications for subdivisions and civil engineering projects, along with a commitment to continuous professional growth. You will approach development proposals with a community-focused mindset while adhering to legal frameworks. With a proactive attitude and the ability to handle a high-volume workload, you possess strong report-writing skills and keen attention to detail. Your interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities enable you to convey complex technical information in clear, accessible language.
