Description
Responsibilities will include:
1. Providing advice on employment matters including interpretation of enterprise agreements and relevant awards
2. Identifying and analyse problems and alternative solutions, to recommend a course of action and implement as required
3. Ensuring that change processes are compliant and managed in accordance with company policies and the industrial framework
4. Consulting constructively with employees and unions during change processes including proactively identifying opportunities for redeployment where appropriate
5. Ensuring complete and accurate drafting of correspondence, records and documentation of all matters
6. Providing advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on dispute, grievance, disciplinary and performance matters
7. Investigating disputes, grievances, disciplinary and performance matters, and liaise with union or other employee representatives as required
8. Coordinating and managing projects associated with People Services
9. Assisting with recruitment processes as required
10. Analysis and reporting including preparation of key HR Metrics including quarterly audits, turnover statistics
11. Reviewing and updating of wages schedules
12. Working effectively with all parts of the organisation including senior managers, care managers, team leaders and staff in implementing change and managing critical incidents
13. Participating actively and positively in the area of health and safety to reduce all hazards and incidents within the workplace
Profile
A bit about you;
14. Tertiary qualifications in human resources and / or industrial relations or equivalent industry experience
15. Outstanding communication, problem solving, influencing and negotiation skills, including the capacity to facilitate resolutions of complaints
16. Experience and expertise in interpretation of awards and agreements
17. Experience within change management; Planning and implementing a range of organisational change situations
18. Ability to problem solve effectively
19. Capacity to work effectively with a diverse range of people
20. A satisfactory National Criminal Police Record Check (PRC) is required prior to commencement
21. Current working With Children Check (VIC)
22. An obligation to have an annual vaccination(s) as per our vaccination policy
23. Capacity and willingness to travel throughout Victoria as required
