Role
The Grounds Officer is responsible for the regular maintenance, upkeep and ongoing improvement of school facilities and grounds across two campuses at Rowville Secondary College.
Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Grounds Officer works within a small team to ensure the facilities meet the ongoing needs of the whole college.
The position requires attendance for duty during all school holiday periods and attracts 20 days annual leave.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the College grounds and sporting ovals to a high standard of appearance.
2. Carry out daily operations concerning the maintenance and cleanliness of the College.
3. Maintain the safety, cleanliness and appearance of all external areas including paths and hard surfaces; this will include regular blow downs
4. General gardening and landscaping duties as required
5. Ensure the maintenance of all school tools and maintenance/grounds equipment
6. Assist with the moving of furniture and equipment as required.
7. Removal of graffiti
8. Minor maintenance repairs as required.
9. Other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
10. Demonstrated Parks and Gardens or school experience.
11. Qualification in Horticulture highly regarded.
