Having Defence experience will prove invaluable in this position.
Some of the key responsibilities will include: Supporting multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux) and hardware (Servers, PC's, Storage, Laptops).Administration of Virtual Servers, Active Directory & System monitoring, antivirus, firewalls, switches, system patchingDaily System admin / help desk supportFault finding and resolving ad-hoc problems to prevent system downtimeExperience/QualificationsThe successful candidate will have sound knowledge across some/all of the following areas:Maintaining, administering and supporting Windows Desktop/Server and Linux systemsHigh level of customer service and interpersonal communications skillsUnderstanding with virtualization technologies - VMware and/or Hyper-VStorage and Networking skills with ability to fault find and resolveExperience in administering and supporting Linux environments preferredApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.Hold or be able to achieve a minimum of NV1 clearance, NV2 will be requiredAbility to obtain a Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at the NEGATIVE VETTING 2 level.
