This position requires a highly experienced and results-oriented individual with a proven track record in manufacturing management, particularly within a heavy manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Manager will lead a large team of approximately 200 employees through a team of experienced and seasoned direct report managers, fostering a culture of safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:Provide strategic leadership and direction to the manufacturing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Effectively manage and develop a team of experienced direct report managers, empowering them to lead their respective areas. Drive a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and employee engagement. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports. Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and training to ensure adequate staffing levels and skill sets. Address employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Production Management:Oversee all aspects of the trailer manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring efficient and timely production. Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and budgets to meet customer demand and business objectives. Monitor production performance against key metrics (e.g., output, quality, cost, safety) and implement corrective actions as needed. Optimize production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.Quality Control:Implement and maintain a robust quality management system to ensure the production of high-quality trailers. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve quality issues. Drive a culture of quality consciousness throughout the manufacturing team.Safety Management:Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Implement and enforce safety training programs for all manufacturing employees. Investigate and address safety incidents promptly and effectively.Budget Management:Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and other best practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.Collaboration:Collaborate effectively with other departments, including engineering, sales, purchasing, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
