Allied Health Director - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for an Allied Health Director - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492d) vacancy. Please note this position is also being advertised as a Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (527492) and only one position will be filled on merit.
Our Aim:
CYMHS Tasmania are seeking a Regional Director with extensive knowledge, expertise and experience of child and youth mental health service delivery and management. This position will be based in Hobart and is a Southern Tasmania-based role.

This position provides operational and professional leadership across existing CAMHS programs and new programs that are being implemented. Our vision is to provide world-class, innovative mental health care to support our children and young people to live life to the fullest with the best possible health and social outcomes.

The role will include:
Provide clinical leadership and direction in the development, management and evaluation of all facets of the overall service, including strategic direction to continually enhance the provision of safe and quality services which meet the needs of all key stakeholders.
Facilitate the development and maintenance of active partnerships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to optimise overall sector integration and client outcomes within CAMHS.
Provide operational and clinical support to all managers and senior clinical staff across the Southern region, and hold a statewide portfolio based on clinical background.
Responsibility and accountability for strategic advice regarding the provision of child and adolescent mental health services, including professional issues and standards of care across Statewide CAMHS.
Details of Appointment:
Allied Health Professional Manager, Level 5, Grade 2. Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $149,660 - $151,608 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable criteria:
Current Driver’s Licence.
Completion or progression towards the completion of a post-graduate qualification relevant to the position.
