They’re the trouble-shooters, glitch-fixers and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely.This year we will also continue to welcome more state-of-the-art aircraft, launch new international routes and continue our mission to help more people takeoff through low fares.Your next opportunity to takeoffAs Senior Project Manager Engineering Cost and Efficiency, you will focus on providing successful delivery and management of a diverse range of strategic projects within Jetstar to enable the Engineering Transformation Programs. This will include managing and developing internal stakeholder relationships and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.Reporting to our Senior Manager Engineering Cost, Efficiency and Analytics, your responsibilities will include:Working closely with Engineering and Operational Leadership teams to identify and define strategic cost and efficiency priorities.Leading ideation discussions and development of business cases analysis, preparation and validation.Leading and delivering Engineering initiatives focused on optimizing cost and operational efficiencies while maintaining quality compliance and safety.Leveraging Engineering and/or relevant aviation experience.Project reporting and benefits tracking.Providing an escalation pathway, playing a hands-on role throughout the duration of each project in their program.Supporting capability uplift for project managers and sponsors.We are on the hunt for someone who has experience, qualifications and attributes including:Tertiary qualification in Aviation / Engineering.Project management qualifications (e.g. PMBOK, Prince2, MSP).Relevant industry experience in Project Management/Transformation.Minimum 10 years’ experience in Programs and Projects in a variety of contexts.Experience leading large scale, cross-functional projects and managing project teams in excess of 10 people.Lean Six Sigma – Green / Black Belt (desirable).Proven financial management skills including familiarity with ROI and NPV analysis.Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to influence, coach and mentor.The ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively with various business units.Able to build effective working relationships and enjoys working in a team.Highly developed planning and analytical skills.Strong leadership, people and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of Jetstar and deal professionally with external parties.Ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders required.We can’t wait to hear from you.
