Customer Service Representative/Warehouse AssistantSNB Stone is an importer of natural stone slabs and tiles & porcelain slabs since 1995 and has branches in Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne.In Melbourne, we are at 2 locations - 7 Industrial Avenue Notting Hill VIC and 39 Parer Road Airport West VIC. Being able to report to any of the stores as per the requirement must be considered. The position involves a mix of customer service duties and physical tasks in a warehouse setting, so being adaptable and ready to shift between these tasks is essential.Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:Handling Customer Inquiries: Responding to calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from customers regarding products, orders, and services.Order Processing: Assisting customers with placing orders, checking stock availability, and providing delivery information.Sales Support: Occasionally supporting sales efforts by providing product recommendations or additional services.Warehouse Assistance Responsibilities:Inventory Management: Assisting in receiving, storing, and organizing stone materials or products within the warehouse.Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment based on customer requests and sales orders.Stock Control: Ensuring that the stock levels are accurately recorded and maintained, helping with stocktake and inventory reconciliation.Safety Compliance: Adhering to warehouse safety procedures and handling heavy or fragile materials with care.Key Skills:Strong Communication: Being able to clearly communicate with customers and team members is crucial.Attention to Detail: Whether it’s processing an order or checking inventory, accuracy is key.Product Knowledge: A good understanding of the types of stones sold (granite, marble, porcelain slabs etc.) will help you assist customers effectively.Physical Stamina: Warehouse work can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move materials.Problem-Solving: Being able to troubleshoot and find solutions when issues arise with customer orders or inventory.Qualifications:Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in customer-facing roles can be very helpful.Warehouse Experience: Any background in warehouse management or logistics can be an advantage.Basic Computer Skills: Knowledge of software like Microsoft Office or inventory management systems is often required.Australian Permanent Residents or Australian Citizens preferred.Timings:Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm1 x Saturday a fortnight - 8:30am to 1:00pmSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeIndustries: Building Materials
