Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer
Freyssinet Australia is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer to contribute to a wide range of projects from mining sites to local council initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage project strategies, critical milestones, and comprehensive project plans to ensure high-quality delivery on time.
* Identify, assess, and manage project risks through best practices and effective systems.
* Cultivate a strong safety culture and enforce adherence to best safety practices.
* Foster and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, always looking for opportunities to add value.
* Ensure financial performance through efficient cost control and labour management.
* Oversee commercial, contract, and claims management, including mitigating commercial risks.
* Lead project teams and manage subcontractors with a focus on collaboration and performance.
* Manage procurement of resources such as labour, materials, and equipment.
* Promote innovation on-site to help establish Freyssinet as a comprehensive solutions provider.
* Provide monthly project and financial reports and manage forecasting.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering within the construction and mining industry.
* A Bachelor of Engineering (essential).
* Experience working on remedial, civil, or infrastructure projects.
* A preferred background in construction and experience working on a variety of project types, including mining sites and council projects.
* Strong planning and decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
* Proven experience in managing subcontractors, suppliers, and self-performance works.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
* Flexibility to travel across the Mackay region, including the Bowen Basin.

Location & Travel Requirements
This position is based in Mackay, with occasional travel required within the greater region, including the Bowen Basin.
