Based in Redland Bay QLD 4165, we have an exciting opportunity and are searching for a highly efficient and enthusiastic Warehouse Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse supervising/ managing.
Working in a busy environment, your key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organising, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
* Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including safety, quality, productivity, inventory control, and logistics.
* Provide daily directing for warehousing processes and operations, including dispatching, receiving of goods, and delegating tasks as required to ensure targets are met.
* Leadership will be your strength – you will lead from the front and be energised by creating a team culture that is engaged and driven to succeed, providing clear direction and communication, and always leading by example.
* Safeguard warehouse operations and standards by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols that comply with legal regulations, OHS and regulatory compliance.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
* Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short-term and long-term performance goals, holding regular "toolbox" meetings to address and proactively correct recent errors and mistakes.
* Work closely with the Directors, Operations Managers and Supervisors to identify opportunities for improvements, ensure business needs are met, and align processes, procedures and initiatives.
Must-have experience, qualifications and attributes:
* A minimum of 1 years experience working in warehousing and logistics,
* A minimum of 1 years experience in a management role,
* Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and OHS,
* Exceptional attention to detail,
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal stakeholders and customers,
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, both in a team and independently,
* Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and perform well under pressure,
* Strong work ethic, supportive of others and flexible in approach,
* High levels of business acumen and capability to translate strategy into actionable goals and KPI’s,
* Strong communication skills, both written & verbal,
* Strong computer skills, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills and intermediate to advanced Google Workspace skills,
* Best practice continuous improvement and customer excellence mindset,
* Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm)
Highly desirable experience, qualifications and attributes:
* Relevant Undergraduate Diploma or Degree
* Relevant Graduate Diploma or Degree
* Working knowledge and experience in the furniture industry
* Forklift license
