About the Role:
As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive pharmacy service supporting both inpatients and outpatients. You will assist with dispensing and distributing medications, provide customer service through cashier and reception activities, and may support the preparation or manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
This position offers the opportunity for professional growth, with classification at AHA1 or AHA2 based on your skills and experience, and a clear pathway for progression. At the AHA2 level, your responsibilities will expand to include inventory management, organizing daily workloads, technical training of staff, and playing a key role in the ordering and preparation of pharmaceuticals.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Allied Health Assistant to join our pharmacy team. You will bring strong organizational skills, a commitment to learning, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Requirements:
* Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Proficiency in technical tasks, manual dexterity, and data entry is essential.
* Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy and familiarity with Pharmacy Management Software, ensuring efficient and accurate support in pharmacy operations.
* Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, medical terminology, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, and the principles of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
* Willingness to learn new skills, a proactive approach to using documented resources for safe work practices, and the physical ability to perform required duties such as lifting and stocking.
