• Manage Azure AD objects, role-based access control (RBAC), and subscriptions and governance
such as configuring Azure policies and resources.
• Manage storage accounts and data in Azure storage, configure Azure files, Azure blob storage,
and configure storage tiers for Azure blobs
• Configure VMs for high availability, scalability, and Automate deployment and configuration of VMs
• Create and configure VMs, containers, and web apps, including app services and service plans.
• Configure and manage virtual networking, backup, and monitor Azure resources
• Provide oversight to cloud development and operations teams with implementations of best practices in the
• Cloud and Work closely with architecture teams to form requirements, help translate those into viable solutions and perform proof of concepts to validate requirements.
• This position must be well-versed in the current technical ability landscape across application, system and network layers and stay abreast of evolving technologies and security trends.
Responsibilities included but were not limited to:
• Manage cloud infrastructure by natively practising infrastructure as code at every layer(Microsoft Azure).
• Provision VMs and Storage per specifications in the requirements.
• Configure Network, VNets and related security configuration in both on-prem and Azure environments.
• Leverage Availability Sets and Availability Zones to design fault-tolerant architecture.
• Implement different cloud Storage services, Storage spaces (disk striping) and tune them for better performance and availability.
• Configure Azure Backup service for incremental and full backups with defined retention policies for VM, Storage and Databases.
• Implement a Disaster Recovery solution using Azure Site Recovery for identified VMs and workloads.
• Document DR Run Book along with Application Administrators.
• Manage Build, Source repository, and deployment systems end to end, build from the ground up to scale up to increasing business demands.
• Contribute to product development life cycle to ensure development process takes care of
infrastructure needs to ensure the seamless release of products to various environments.
• Mentor junior engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, operations engineers.
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to anticipate technical needs and facilitate the design of our infrastructure.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and monitoring of Customer systems on Cloud (Azure).
• Periodically perform an internal assessment to assure compliance with controls.
Skill set:
1. Working knowledge in using scripting languages like PowerShell, Cmdlets and Batch scripts to manage
Azure environment.
2. Experience in Setting up and managing various Azure backup services for DR systems.
3. Experience in building Network and Subnet on Azure, Security/Firewalls configuration, Configuration
/Setup of Alerts in Azure.
4. Exposure Git, TFS, Jenkins, and DevOps tools.
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
2. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft.
3. Min of 4+ years of experience as IT Administrator in Windows Platform environment managing
Windows Server, SQL Server, Networking, Security and related systems.
4. 2+ years of combined professional experience in Cloud Administration using technologies such as
Azure VM, Azure SQL Database, Redis Cache, Load Balancer, Azure Web Apps, docker, Kubernetes,
Micro Services, Relational DB Server Setup/Management in Azure (SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL
databases (Document DB, Mongo DB, CouchDB/Dynamo).
5. Off-hour support for Support calls may be necessary on a demand basis.
6. Excellent communications and fluently converse with customers are crucial aspects of this role and
success.
7. Knowledge on ITIL framework and Service Management
