All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund.About your roleThe Risk Manager, Finance position is part of the first line Business Risk & Compliance department in the Operations division at Cbus. You will support the development of strategies that ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and maintain the integrity of financial and regulatory reporting. You will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and managing risks across the finance department.Day to day, you can expect to -Develop and implement robust governance frameworks for operational risk management in the Finance department.Conduct comprehensive risk assessments ensuring effective controls and risk mitigation strategies are in place.Ensure ongoing compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, working closely with internal teams to implement necessary changes.Lead the resolution of risk incidents, develop incident response plans, and ensure lessons learned are integrated into future practices.Work closely with business owners to maintain solid relationships and support consistent risk management practices.Provide clear and timely reporting to senior leadership on risk profiles, incident updates, and action plans.About youYou have at least ten years of operational risk management experience, ideally within financial services, superannuation, or investment management.Solid financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting understanding, with expertise in managing finance risks.Proven ability to assess risks, manage competing priorities, and develop effective action plans to meet deadlines.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain business relationships across the organisation.A proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing solutions with high attention to detail.Deep knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks impacting superannuation.Belong at CbusWe value difference, and embrace people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, gender identities, abilities and thinking styles.
