Your next opportunity An opportunity has presented itself for a Mechanical Fitter looking to join our team at Boral's Mugga Quarry.
As the newest member of our mechanical team, you will provide preventative and corrective maintenance services to our fixed-plant equipment.
This is a permanent full-time role that offers afternoon and night shift across the duration of the work week (Monday to Friday).
Your day will involve: Facilitate breakdown and scheduled maintenance needs in a proactive and timely manner Maintain all plant and equipment, including ensuring all tools of trade are maintained in safe, suitable, reliable manner, including electrical equipment tagged Develop, recommend and implement strategies for improving equipment reliability and process reliability Promoting proactive maintenance and increasing plant reliability through performing investigations and improving plant reliability and functionality Ensure adequate maintenance logbooks for all plant and equipment is maintained Develop, implement and promote Boral's Safety Management System, permits and Take 5's, and hazard reporting What are we looking for?
Relevant mechanical trade qualifications or Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade is desirable (Welding or Boilermaking) Proven trade-based work experience within quarries, mining or civil construction Strong safety acumen to achieve Zero Harm with proven ability to develop safe systems of work (SOP's) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Able to develop effective working relationships with other employees and contractors Proven ability to assist in improving operational efficiencies, and productivity Proficiency in Excel, Word and general database management Availability to work overtime as required What's on offer?
