Job Title: Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs)

We are currently looking for highly professional and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Perth area.

Responsibilities
* To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care, within the scope of practice of an RPN.
* Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
* Ensure timely and accessible admission for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered. Also, ensure safe and timely transfers and discharges.
* Manage and control the supply of drugs and narcotics, following protocols on all shifts.
* Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements
* Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
* Able to work with persons who have infectious diseases.
* BLS Certificate required.
* Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
* Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year, and Hepatitis B.
* Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check required.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be able to work flexible shift times, 8 or 12 hours in length.
* Must be able to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
* Must be reliable and adhere to our shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
