Communicate with proactively on shift to stay informed of operational needs and ensure timely responses to requests • Conduct a daily inspection of kitchens and back of house areas for cleanliness, liaising with any outsourced companies to nurture relationships • Liaise with all F&B leadership to ensure the provision of adequate and clean operating equipment to meet the daily requirements of the kitchen and outlets and the back of house conditions are maintained • Maintain a visible appearance within the F&B operation during major service periods to quickly identify the needs of kitchen, restaurants and/or banqueting. • Assist in the kitchen with food preparation duties • Ensure all aspects of the kitchen environment are hygienic and equipment is working properly • Ensure food safety and personal hygiene standards are always maintained • Maintain inward stock movement whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the store/s inventory records documentation and recording keeping for accounting purposes • Manage all storage areas and loading bay, maintaining cleanliness and par levels • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with suppliers, courier companies, and freight forwarders • Liaise with and assist other departments with regular stocktaking • Ensure timely delivery of invoices to finance approved by relevant ordering department • Champion the reporting and identification of hazards & injuries and be a supporter for a greener hotel environment • When the business demand, this role will provide operational support to all other departments, including but not limited to Concierge, Valet Parking, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage • Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we must pull together to get a task done What we need from you • Look smart – wear your uniform with pride • Great communication skills, with the ability to provide training, feedback and guidance to the stewarding team • At least 1-2 year of experience in a similar role with good interpersonal and leadership skills • The ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 30 kilograms • Experience working in a stewarding environment servicing multiple food & beverage outlets/venues will be key and exposure to an open kitchen environment would be an advantage • Good time management and organizational skills and experience with rostering will be an advantage
