The role: As a Civil Infrastructure Engineer, your role will involve conducting engineering investigations, planning, modelling, and reporting to develop and implement effective policies, programs, and strategies for civil infrastructure. You will collaborate across divisions, provide technical advice, and prepare project briefs aligned with the Council's Asset Management Plans. Additionally, you'll respond to inquiries from elected officials and residents, ensuring community needs are addressed through innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to): Support Asset Management and Maintenance Plans – Assist in updating Asset Management Plans and developing maintenance plans, including inspection regimes and risk management strategies. Engineering Investigations and Reports – Conduct investigations and prepare reports, including civil and stormwater modelling, to drive effective infrastructure solutions. Develop Capital, Renewal, and Maintenance Programs – Play a key role in designing and implementing programs for civil and stormwater infrastructure. Liaise with Stakeholders – Collaborate with local, state, and federal government bodies, utility authorities, and developers to ensure projects meet economic, environmental, and community needs. Provide Specialist Advice – Offer expert technical advice to other Council staff, ensuring a fully integrated approach to infrastructure problem-solving.
