Lead a highly skilled and functioning team towards accreditation The Opportunity Fantastic opportunity available for a Quality and Risk Manager to join our team! Acting as the accountable representative for the Hospital Quality Management System, this position will see you lead a highly skilled and functioning team that monitors and responds to our health outcomes to ensure the hospital is continuously providing high quality and safe patient care. Your responsibilities will include: Develop, implements, and monitors quality improvement initiatives. Identify and address potential risks across the hospital. Conduct thorough analyses of hospital processes and outcomes. Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction. Oversee compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Facilitate staff education on risk management practices. Serve as a resource for resolving quality-related issues. Establish collaborative working relationships with clinical and non-clinical leaders across the 2 sites and the broader Ramsay Health Care network. About You You are a self-motivated professional with excellent communication and leadership skills to drive a culture of safety across a large-scale, multidisciplinary organisation. With excellent organisational skills, you are detail oriented and have proven strategic planning, workforce management and policy development skills. Your ability to lead, empower and engage staff, and act as positive role model is essential for this role. Your Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or healthcare administration Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting Postgraduate qualifications in Management / Quality and Safety are desirable Excellent understanding of clinical governance principles Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and accreditation standards Experience in leading investigations into adverse events, near misses, and patient complaints, including root cause analysis and development of corrective action plans. Experience in leading change management Proficiency in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies to enhance patient outcomes and safety Demonstrated expertise in data collection, analysis, and reporting to monitor performance and drive quality improvement efforts Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and best practices related to quality assurance, patient safety, and risk management Excellent computer literacy in the Microsoft Office programs and knowledge of databases (e.g. RiskMan) Proven track record of successful project management, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
