About the Role
Be part of an exciting new service that works collaboratively to support children and young people outside of business hours. The After-Hours Service is designed to deliver services to build safety where risk is present, provide help and support to resolve issues and/or prevent escalation, and be responsive to the needs of our children and young people in care, outside of standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
o Provide leadership and support to the After-Hours Service team and respond to incoming enquiries within the service using key policies and procedures across emergent and critical after-hours responses.
Conditions of Employment
o Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 pro rata per annum + 11.5% Superannuation
o Classification: Allied Health Professional Level 3
o Award/Agreement: Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement
o Location: South (Hobart), North (Launceston) and North-West (Ulverstone)
o Hours of Work: This is a shift-based role and includes a combination of day, afternoon and night work, including availability for call-out as rostered.
o If successful, you must be available to complete approximately 3 months of full-time (Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5pm) paid training.
o Please note: Other permanent and fixed-term full-time and part time vacancies that may arise in the future may also be filled from this process.

Who we’re looking for
Our new After-Hours Service gives children and young people 24/7 safety and wellbeing support. No two days look the same. Work is diverse and rewarding, making a positive difference to Tasmanian children and young people.
You will need to:
o Have sound self-management skills, self-awareness, and emotional maturity.
o Genuine motivation and passion to work with children, young people, and their families.
o Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflicts.
o Ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders.
o Value working as a member of a team.
o Commitment to self-care, continuous improvement, and learning.
o A tertiary qualification approved by the relevant National Board, for example, a Bachelor of Social Work, or an alternative qualification in a relevant discipline.
o Current Driver's Licence.
Registration Requirements:
The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered.
