About the Company
Are you an experienced Diesel Plant Mechanic looking for a new challenge? Our client, a well-established plant repair company based in Ingleburn, is seeking an experienced Diesel Plant Mechanic to join its growing team.
About the Role
In this position, you will work on cranes, heavy vehicles, and plant machinery. The role includes both workshop and mobile tasks, servicing the Sydney Metro and Central West areas. Occasionally, overnight stays will be required, and you will be adequately compensated for this.
Key Responsibilities
- Service of access equipment including Scissor Lifts, Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), and Boom Lifts
- Services of cranes, heavy vehicles, and plant machinery
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles and plant machinery
- Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Perform both workshop and mobile work in the Sydney Metro and Central West regions
- Utilise hand and power tools effectively
Skills and Experience
- Trade qualifications in Mobile Equipment Fitting, Plant Mechanics, or a relevant motor trade qualification (Certificate III or higher)
- Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Electrical experience with mobile cranes, EWPs, boom lifts and scissor lifts
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnostics skills
- Experience with Franna, Tadano, Liebherr, Demag, Grove, or Kato is desirable
- Must hold a minimum HR driver's license
