About the opportunity We are currently recruiting Biosecurity Team Members to join the Fire Ant Eradication Unit the Southeast Region. This opportunity presents successful applicants with the ability to make valued contributions to the National Fire Ant Eradication Program within numerous sites in Southeast Queensland. You will be responsible for the fire ant reduction and eradication project works such as surveillance, baiting and leading various workers on the ground.
About you The following requirements/skills are highly desired, but not required: Experience in undertaking visual surveillance Experience in bait treatment programsExperience in daily reporting tasks, data collection and mappingACDC/Commercial Operators LicencePest Management LicenceExperience with Fire Ant Eradication programsExperience with ATV's & towing trailers The following requirements/skills are required:
A car licenceBe able to work in a team environmentBe physically fit as this role requires substantial walking through challenging terrainAbility to pass national police checksSecurity Clearance - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level. This will include a National Police Check.
