Our client Ramps Ridge Services Pty Ltd is a prominent agricultural and livestock farming company based in the Riverina region of NSW. Ramps Ridge Services focuses on efficient and sustainable farming practices, including large-scale infrastructure development to support its farming operations. At Ramps Ridge Services, the projects include the construction of sheds, water tanks, warehouses, roads, barns, silos, irrigation systems, fencing, manure storage facilities, and farmstead buildings.
Ramps Ridge Services are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee these critical projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.
As a Construction Project Manager at Ramps Ridge Services Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing civil construction projects that are integral to the agricultural and livestock farming operations. From sheds and silos to irrigation systems, roads and fencing, you will oversee the construction of key infrastructure, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specifications. You will work closely with farm management, engineers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects that support the company's long-term sustainability and productivity goals.
Qualification and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within an agricultural, rural infrastructure, or civil construction setting.
· Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and construction best practices, particularly for agricultural structures such as barns, sheds, and irrigation systems.
Your main responsibilities will be:
· Manage the entire lifecycle of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
· Coordinate the construction of sheds, barns, water tanks, warehouses, roads, irrigation systems, silos, fencing, and other agricultural structures.
· Collaborate with farm management and key stakeholders to determine project requirements and ensure alignment with operational needs.
· Supervise and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, ensuring that all work complies with safety and environmental standards.
· Ensure that projects are completed within the allocated budget and timeline, and address any potential risks or delays promptly.
· Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure quality and compliance.
· Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
· Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones and addressing any issues.
· Lead post-project evaluations to identify best practices and areas for improvement for future projects.
· Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have:
· Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, as well as oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
· Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Proficiency in project management software and tools.
· Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards relevant to rural and agricultural settings.
· Ability to solve problems under pressure and manage project risks proactively.
