With a focus on future strategic planning, our people help shape Brisbane through urban and suburban renewal projects, infrastructure planning, and economic growth.Committing to this mission requires a diverse team of passionate professionals such as town planners, urban designers, architects, heritage specialists and economists.The RoleAs part of this small but passionate team, the Senior Communication and Engagement Officer will develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies and activities that support Brisbane City Council’s brand and the ‘Future Brisbane’ and ‘Economic Development’ Program outcomes.The role includes:developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies for simple and complex projectstranslating technical information into simple communication pieces to inform and educate stakeholdersmanaging the production and approval process for large documents, signage and collateralcoordinating large-scale mail outs and collateral distribution to support projectscreating social media posts, website content and eDMs for projects and initiativesmanaging advertising campaigns via internal specialists and external supplierscoordinating photography and developing creative for advertising and collateralproviding strategic advice regarding community engagement to internal stakeholdersworking with technical specialists to develop digital and offline engagement tactics to support community engagement projects.To be successful you will have:proven project management skills including the ability to participate in multi-disciplinary project teams engaged in a wide range of marketing and communication activitiesdemonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate marketing and communication strategies to support program outcomes and business goalssound written and verbal communication skills, including researching, writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills, for a range of projects and audiencesthorough knowledge of current communication issues and trendsdemonstrated ability in the application of publicity, media relations and issues management techniques in a medium to large corporate environment.Benefits of working for Council: CLICK HEREHow to apply: Click on the 'I’m interested' button to complete your online application.
