(pro rata) AHP3 | Part Time 11.25 hours per week – Ongoing If you're a passionate and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist ready to make a difference in Geriatric Care, apply now!The Senior Clinical Psychologist participates as a member of the designated service and teams, who provide care to people with complex medical, functional and/or psychosocial needs in lieu of an extended or avoidable hospital admission or in an ambulatory hospital setting.
This includes the provision of multidisciplinary assessment, cognitive behavioural interventions, and supportive care planning in collaboration with the patient, their family, carer and existing community services involved in their care.About the Role:Reporting to the Manager of Psychology the Senior Clinical Psychologist is responsible for: Providing a specialist Clinical Psychology service including assessment, treatment/ management planning, intervention, evaluation and consultation to patients individually and in group settingsCommunicating with clients' family, carers and other service providersLinking clients and carers with relevant community resources and servicesDocumenting assessment findings and interventions in accordance with service standardsInitiating, developing and contributing to educational activities within the team Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
About you: Demonstrated abilities in communication, liaison and teamworkAbility to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet deadlinesA Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, or higher, as recognised by AHPRA and the Australian Psychological Society and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) with specialist clinical psychology endorsementProven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards The attached role description/s are currently under review and may be adjusted prior to appointment.
