Camatta Lempens is a long-established full-service law firm providing high quality legal services. We are seeking a civil litigation lawyer to join our respected civil litigation and native title practice. We represent large Aboriginal groups across South Australia (as well as groups in the Northern Territory and NSW) in native title litigation and as native title corporations post-determination. Our work encompasses advice across a range of areas of civil and commercial law including negotiations with resource companies (mining and renewable energy), a range of governance and corporate matters, and cultural heritage. Experience in native title is desirable but not a prerequisite if you have transferable experience in litigation and commercial practice. The work undertaken by our native title team, and more broadly our civil litigation team, is diverse and unique. Camatta Lempens is a firm with strong values and a friendly environment. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, including speaking at meetings in front of groups, the ability to work well with others as well as independently, and skills to deliver high quality legal advice. Applicants must also have strong drafting skills and time management. Travel is required from time to time as part of this role. Salary will be commensurate with experience and is negotiable. Unrestricted practising certificate in South Australia (or eligibility for admission and an unrestricted practising certificate in South Australia) is required.
