The Role Due to exciting growth, by JAVLN is looking for a .NET Engineering Team Lead with extensive SaaS experience to join our Melbourne based team. The Engineering Team Lead is accountable to lead a cross-functional team to deliver, maintain, and operate JAVLN’s SaaS Products. This role is responsible for their team’s quality and velocity, and delivers the roadmap in alignment with the Technical and Product strategies. Using a solid understanding of building effective and engaged engineering teams, the Engineering Team Lead works closely with Product Managers, Engineering Technical Leaders, and other Engineering Management members to achieve the best outcomes for our business and customers. Engineering Leads are still hands-on contributors alongside leading their teams. You should apply for this role if you have many, or most of the following: 10 years of work experience with .NET development (C#). 7 years of engineering team leadership experience. Working experience with Rest API’s. Familiar with TypeScript and comfortable with Vue.js, Angular or React. Comfortable writing and coaching on Unit Tests, and functional integration tests etc. Solid AWS experience preferably with a good grounding in Terraform Good relational database knowledge e.g. SQLServer, MySQL, Postgres or Oracle. Familiar with JIRA issue and project tracking software and GIT version control. Comfortable in an agile development environment. Great communication skills both written and oral. Understanding of Azure. Any FinTech experience or experience in the insurance industry (InsurTech) would be beneficial, but not essential if you are comfortable learning.
