As the Head of Cabin Crew Performance and Change, you will lead strategic initiatives to optimise cabin crew operations across both international and domestic networks. This includes overseeing workforce planning, operational performance, and driving innovation in crew resourcing strategies to meet evolving business needs. You will manage relationships with industrial stakeholders, including unions, ensuring alignment on workforce strategies and enterprise agreements, while maintaining a proactive approach to work health and safety consultation. You’ll also need to provide strong leadership in navigating change, addressing any challenges with both support and assertiveness where needed, to maintain constructive and realistic outcomes.
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the Cabin Crew Support Team, implementing communication frameworks, and driving operational efficiency. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, leverage data insights, and lead high-impact projects that contribute to the sustainable success of cabin crew operations. In this role, you’ll ensure the effective measurement of both financial and operational performance, all while upholding Qantas’s commitment to safety, innovation, and outstanding customer service.
You’ll have -
* Over 15 years’ experience with a strong background in management, strategy consulting, and operational leadership.
* Holds a bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or a related field, with a preference for qualifications in workplace health and safety or industrial relations.
* Extensive expertise in strategic development, financial evaluation, project management, and operational workforce planning.
* High level of resilience and proven experience in driving change management initiatives, navigating complex challenges, and maintaining performance during times of change.
* Proven ability to identify opportunities, resolve complex issues, and develop actionable strategies to drive business outcomes.
* Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and collaborative approaches.
* Experience in industrial relations and developing labour strategies for large-scale workforces.
