The position provides a reception service and efficient administrative support service to the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (TASCAT) and clerical support to the Deputy Registrars and Principal Registrar.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.
DutiesProvide a reception service to the public in person and by phone and screen and direct calls as necessary.Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including typing/audio typing of correspondence, preparing appeal documents, opening, sorting and distribution of mail, accepting and receipting of notices of appeal and monies and balance monies monthly.Assist members upon arrival, by providing security passes, Wi-Fi passwords and directing them to hearing rooms.Act as court clerk for General Division, set up hearing rooms, co-ordinate attendance of parties, record proceedings and maintain and mark exhibits including calling and swearing witnesses.Liaise with appellants, lawyers, planners and other professionals as required.Provide administrative support in other areas of the Tribunal as required.Order stationary for the Tribunal.Undertake any additional duties within the expected range of work of the position.Pre-employment ChecksThe Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
