About the Role
As a Port Marine Surveyor within AMSA's Operations division, you will be responsible for ensuring vessels are maintained in good condition and operated safely. This includes conducting marine surveys, inspections, and investigations to establish compliance with maritime safety, pollution, and other legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertaking marine surveys, inspections, and investigations to ensure compliance with regulations
* Liaising with industry on technical matters and representing AMSA in relevant forums
* Carrying out compliance and permissioning activities as required
Requirements:
* Marine Engineer Class 1 or Master (Unlimited) Certificates of Competency, or an equivalent tertiary Degree
* Significant experience in the maritime industry as a senior officer or engineer
* Knowledge of domestic and international maritime safety regulation regimes
* Ability to hold and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card and Baseline security clearance
