The Role The Networks & Crypto Technician will be responsible for contributing to an effective and efficient ICT Service Delivery Team for the client. The ICT Service Delivery Team is a multi-disciplinary team providing customer-focused ICT support services. Senior Technical Officers contribute to the maintenance of an ITIL Service Management framework, to ensure the level of services provided to the client remains consistent with their expectations.The Networks & Crypto Technician will respond to the user community for service requests and incidents in a timely and efficient manner. They regularly engage with the client to understand user needs and requirements of the ICT networks. The Networks & Crypto Technician will maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific technical specialism relating to cryptographic systems. They will also maintain the network support process and check that all requests are dealt with according to agreed procedures. They will initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems and services and assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.They will positively and actively engage in a culture of professionalism and promote the Omni values within the client environment. The role will include: Support client ICT systems, infrastructure, hardware, and software, as defined in the Statement of Work. Manage and maintain Cryptographic systems on behalf of the client. Contribute to the delivery of ICT support services for the client in accordance with Service Level Agreements. Respond to client ICT support services in accordance with ITIL Service Operation processes. Provide recommendations for Service Delivery improvements, including hardware, software, and process evolutions. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems. Attend regular ICT Service Delivery team meetings. Periodic inter-state travel for the purpose of network provisioning and maintenance. Be an Australian Citizen. Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance or be willing to obtain one. Have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills. This role will require: Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or relevant experience. Recognised qualifications in a technical discipline. Hold and maintain a TS-PV Australian Government Security Clearance. ITIL Foundation Training and Certification. CCNA. It would be desirable to hold: Post-graduate qualification in a related technical discipline. Certification or training in systems and processes related to technical discipline. VMware virtualisation stack experience. Competence in Microsoft Office programs. Competence and experience with ICT Service Management applications. Relevant experience with VMware products and tools. Experience with Cisco Collaboration technologies. Experience as a Server Administrator. 10 years' experience in a technical discipline.
