Senior Data Business Analyst | Risk Management Group

What role will you play?
As a Data Analyst, you will leverage your analysis skills to conduct detailed data analysis based on business requirements and interpret the results to inform strategic business decisions. Your role will involve understanding the division's business needs and developing data solutions, including data architecture and data models, ensuring data integrity, quality, and accuracy are maintained across all data systems, and aligning with the organisation's strategic objectives.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to document requirements. You will analyse data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations. Additionally, you will support the technology team to implement data solutions and address any data-related issues.
What you offer
* 5-7 years’ experience in a Business, Data, Technical, or Information Analyst role within Banking and Financial services
* Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools
* Proficiency in data modelling and database design including data warehousing concepts
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong stakeholder management skills
* Strategic mindset and ability to communicate vision
* Ability to work with technical stakeholders
* Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices
* Computer science or finance related degree is advantageous.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk, and prudential and central.
