What will I be doing?
As the Technical Lead - Mobile POS Solutions you'll be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the technical design, development, configuration and operation of information systems and technology solutions to meet business needs. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical aspects of Mobile POS Solutions production, fostering innovation to achieve both short-term project goals and long-term technical excellence.
1. Act as the primary technical resource for the engagement of large enhancements, new projects and technologies relevant to the Mobile POS Solutions Solution.
2. Manage the creation of conceptual and logical business solution designs for new business solutions, communicate solution design to relevant Development Teams, and monitor solution implementation to ensure meeting requirements.
3. Ensure the alignment of technical solution designs and strategic direction across multiple projects and business units.
4. Collaborate with Stores Solution Architects to provide solution design options including effort estimates, for identified gaps
5. Responsible for the oversight and progress of all Major Technical Incidents to ensure their prompt resolution. This will involve coordinating separate technical teams, structuring investigations and working with the respective business areas including the Situation Management team to ensure accurate and timely information is disseminated to senior stakeholders and end-users.
6. Engage and Interact with Developers and Operations, Independent Contractors and Software Vendor Programmers (onsite and offsite) to ensure the best business outcomes are achieved
What will I bring?
7. Ideally around 5+ years experience in a Technical role working with Retail Store systems (previous experience with mobile technologies and/or payments experience highly regarded)
8. Demonstrated experience in working with complex platforms with multiple stakeholders.
9. Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure their development requirements are being met and any issues are communicated effectively.
10. Has a thorough understanding of the DEVOPS Product Life Cycle
11. Experience working under different project methodologies - Waterfall, Agile (XP/Scrum).
