You will work with an astute local management team who have many years of experience working in the NSW marketplace. The Position
Reporting into the NSW General Manager and national MD, you will be responsible for overseeing 2-3 projects (with full teams) while running your own project with a site team reporting into you. You will join another Construction Manager and oversee projects valued from $10M - $40M within the educational and hospitality space.
You will have full responsibility for procurement and methodology, program and budgeting, project reporting to senior management, and being the go-to person to resolve any issues on-site with project stakeholders as required. This role will sit in the senior leadership team, future duties are listed below:
Autonomous delivery of construct only and/or design and construct private educational and hospitality projects valued to $40M Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training, and performance management; Stakeholder management with a focus on maintaining and building relationships An understanding of building methodologies and current industry best practices; Good IT knowledge and experience with procurement, MS projects, HammerTech, and industry systems Understanding of current QHSE Act and Legislation; Quality management and continuous improvement practices and processes; Monthly commercial reporting, progress claims, and variations; Effective implementation and knowledge of AS Form of Contracts; Negotiation and dispute resolution skills Salary will be in line with experience and market trends and is very much dependent on experience; however, figures of $250K - $280K can be expected.
Background / Qualifications Have completed a tertiary qualification in construction/project management/civil engineering Have demonstrated experience working with tier one or two builders as a Construction Manager or Project Director and be able to demonstrate leading multiple jobs/delivery teams concurrently In-depth understanding of corporate values, policies, and procedures.
