About the role
At selectability, we seek a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our growing team. Our youth residential program offers accommodation and intensive support to children and young people with various needs.
You will play a vital role in supporting our children and young people to thrive. You must bring a genuine passion and commitment to making a positive impact in their lives. Children and young people may face high or complex needs, and selectability aims to provide consistent and stable teams to support their recovery.
About You
To succeed, you must:
* Possess excellent communication skills
* Demonstrate proficiency in computer literacy and record management
* Be able to consistently follow policies and procedures
* Be adaptable to work with diverse communities and individuals
* Be willing to work across a 24/7 roster
Key Requirements
* Hold a minimum of Cert IV qualification recognised under the child safety minimum qualification standards (or be willing to actively pursue this)
* Possess certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (be able to obtain)
* A current Queensland driver's licence
* A registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
* First Aid and CPR certificates (be able to obtain)
* A Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (be able to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (be able to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
