What’s on Offer As a result of new contract wins within our construction business we are now looking for an additional Site Engineer (building construction) to join our Richmond based team, playing a key role in the construction delivery of substations on behalf of our transport client. Key Responsibilities: Provide vital support to the Project Manager in all project-related duties. Manage and promote a strong HSE culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and striving for the highest safety standards. Contribute to project programming, updates, and reporting, ensuring milestones are achieved on time. Implement and manage the company's management systems to deliver exceptional project outcomes, focusing on defect-free completion. Support the Project Manager in determining labour requirements and ensuring all staff are inducted and trained appropriately. Manage subcontractors to achieve project goals related to program, cost, quality and HSE. Assist in the planning and coordination of building projects from start to finish. Ensure projects adhere to budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities. Coordinate with designers, engineers, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues and conflicts. Prepare and review project documentation, including sub-contracts, ITPs, works methodology etc. Implement quality assurance and control procedures specific to building construction. Prepare detailed work plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates. About You: You will be a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a strong understanding of construction processes and a passion for delivering excellence. You will possess: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in a site engineering or project engineer role in the building and construction sector Previous experience in managing small to medium scale building projects (residential homes, shops, and commercial buildings) Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
