This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-focused retail environment, enjoys helping customers, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to students, parents, and staff.About the Role:As a Casual Campus Store Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the school community, ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience. You will assist with uniform fittings, textbook sales, school supplies, and online order management. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly, and supportive environment where no two days are the same.Key Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff, ensuring a positive and efficient shopping experience.Oversee general retail operations, including opening and closing the campus store while ensuring adherence to designated trading hours.Operate the point-of-sale system, process transactions, and handle cash and card payments accurately.Manage stock, including receiving deliveries, replenishing shelves, and maintaining store presentation standards.Process online orders, including receiving, picking, packing, and coordinating collections.Assist customers with uniform fittings, ensuring they receive the correct school essentials.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment in line with company and school standards.Uphold the values and reputation of Downlands College and The School Locker.Skills & Experience:Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional approach.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak trading periods.A proactive team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Confidence in using point-of-sale systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.Availability to work flexible shifts during the Back-to-School period (early January to mid-February).Why Join The School Locker?At The School Locker, we are passionate about supporting schools and their communities.
