ROLE OVERVIEW
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:
* Oversee and ensure compliance with hospital accreditation standards, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement;
* Drive initiatives to enhance patient safety and maintain high-quality clinical outcomes across all services;
* Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, legal, and operational standards;
* Manage and supervise practical aspects of care delivery, including bed management, patient flow strategies, patient demand forecasting, and workforce management;
* Implement systematic workforce planning and support the professional development of the clinical workforce to meet organisational goals;
* Support growth initiatives, business development, and respond to needs identified by the Executive team;
* Liaise with the visiting medical officer (VMO) community to ensure the delivery of the highest quality clinical care;
* Plan and maintain hospital and departmental budgets, ensuring budgetary requirements are met in collaboration with other executive team members;
* Assess workplace culture and implement strategies to support findings, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
You are a dynamic leader with a proven ability to foster positive working relationships with key stakeholders, develop talent, and build high-performing teams. You excel at guiding teams through organizational change while maintaining a focus on excellence and collaboration.
Your skills will include:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia;
* Post-graduate clinical qualifications to support advanced practice and leadership in healthcare;
* Proficient clinical expertise combined with a comprehensive understanding of the private hospital legislative and regulatory environment;
* Strong resource management skills to ensure the efficient and effective operation of clinical departments;
* Deep understanding of performance drivers that influence quality business outcomes, along with hands-on experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives;
* A passion for people development, supported by exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage teams;
* Senior management experience in the private health sector, with a track record of leading organizational change and driving quality improvement processes;
* Expertise in clinical governance and patient safety, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
