About the role
The Sonographer is responsible to the Campus operations Manager for providing an ultrasound imaging service across the wide range of ultrasound procedures within the Medical Imaging Department. The incumbent operates at a high level of independence, using specialised equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for clients/patients. They undertake complex procedures applying professional knowledge across a broad range of ultrasound procedures. This requires a high level of professional judgement and innovative scanning methods. The incumbent contributes to clinical outcomes by providing services that form the basis of patient diagnosis and subsequent treatment and management by radiologists, referring clinicians and surgeons.

Essential Requirements:
* Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
* Working With Children Check (DHS)
* Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
* Holds an accredited post-graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound;
* Registered as an Accredited Sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
